Thifensulfuron-methyl 75% wdg
Thifensulfuron-methyl is a systemic post-emergence selective herbicide that inhibits the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids, including valine, leucine, and isoleucine, preventing cell division and halting the growth of sensitive crops. It is primarily used to control broadleaf weeds in cereal crops such as wheat, barley, oats, and corn. Effective against weeds like redroot pigweed, purslane, shepherd’s purse, and others, it is not effective against thistle, field bindweed, or grass weeds. For wheat and barley, apply from the 2-leaf stage to pre-boot stage, when weeds are in the 2 to 4-leaf stage. Use a 75% dry suspension agent at 0.25–0.41g per 100 square meters, mixed with 4.5kg of water and 0.2% non-ionic surfactant, and apply as a foliar spray.
Thifensulfuron-methyl is a selective, post-emergence herbicide known for its high efficacy and low use rates. It works by inhibiting acetolactate synthase (ALS), an enzyme crucial for amino acid synthesis in plants. This disruption halts weed growth, leading to eventual death. Thifensulfuron-methyl effectively controls a wide range of broadleaf weeds and some grasses.
It is commonly used on crops like soybeans, wheat, barley, and oats. Apply Thifensulfuron-methyl when weeds are young and actively growing. This timing ensures maximum absorption and optimal results. Due to its low use rates and high selectivity, it provides excellent crop safety and minimal environmental impact.
Moreover, Thifensulfuron-methyl can be tank-mixed with other herbicides to broaden the spectrum of control and prevent resistance development. It offers a flexible solution for integrated weed management programs, ensuring clean fields and healthy crop growth.
Choose Thifensulfuron-methyl for reliable weed control, enhanced crop safety, and sustainable farming practices that promote higher yields and improved field conditions.
