Penoxsulam 500ml, 2.67 OD / 2.5 OD herbicide. Effective systemic control of broadleaf and grass weeds in rice fields. Long residual effect of 30-60 days with a single application.
Penoxsulam 2.67 od / 2.5 od for Rice Fields
Penoxsulam 2.67 od is a highly effective systemic herbicide that is absorbed through the stems, leaves, buds, and roots of weeds. It translocates through the xylem and phloem to the meristematic tissues, inhibiting plant growth and causing the growing points to turn chlorotic. After 7-14 days, the apical buds turn red and necrotic, leading to plant death within 2-4 weeks. As a potent acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitor, Penoxsulam acts relatively slowly, allowing sufficient time for weeds to gradually perish.
Versatile Application Methods and Long-lasting Effects
Penoxsulam 2.67 od is suitable for use in various rice cultivation methods, including dry direct-seeded fields, water direct-seeded fields, seedling beds, and transplanted fields. The recommended dosage is 15-30g a.i./hm². For dry direct-seeded fields, apply before germination or after irrigation; for water-seeded fields, apply early post-emergence; and for transplanted fields, apply 5-7 days after transplanting. Application methods include spraying or soil incorporation.
Penoxsulam is a broad-spectrum herbicide for rice fields
Effectively controlling barnyardgrass (including resistant biotypes), Leptochloa, annual sedges, and many broadleaf weeds such as Heteranthera limosa, Eclipta prostrata, Sesbania exaltata, Commelina diffusa, and Monochoria vaginalis. It offers a long residual effect of 30-60 days, providing season-long weed control with a single application. Additionally, it controls weeds resistant to bensulfuron-methyl and many other broadleaf and sedge weeds, making it one of the most comprehensive herbicide options for rice fields.
