Fenoxaprop-ethyl herbicide: Effective post-emergence control of grass weeds in dicotyledonous crops like soybeans, peanuts, canola, cotton, and more.
Features of Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl
Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl, a member of the aryloxyphenoxypropionate class of herbicides, primarily inhibits the key enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase, which is essential for fatty acid synthesis. The herbicide is rapidly absorbed through the stems and leaves and translocated to the meristematic tissues and growth points of roots. Within 2-3 days after application, plant growth ceases, and by 5-6 days, the central leaves turn chlorotic and purplish, with meristematic tissues becoming brown and leaves gradually dying off. This herbicide is a highly selective post-emergence treatment.
Application Range
Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl is effective in controlling monocotyledonous weeds in dicotyledonous crops such as soybeans, peanuts, canola, cotton, sugar beets, flax, potatoes, vegetable fields, and mulberry orchards. When combined with the safener Hoe070542, it is also suitable for controlling grass weeds in wheat fields.
